Original Home in Memphis Recreated with Precision on Toronto Soundstages

A breathtaking recreation of Elvis Presley's legendary home, Graceland, has been meticulously crafted for the upcoming biopic, "Elvis." Production designer Tamara Deverell shares how the team transformed soundstages and an existing Toronto home into an authentic representation of the iconic Memphis mansion.

To achieve the highest level of authenticity, the film crew filmed much of the exterior shots in Toronto. Deverell's team clad an existing home with stone and shutters, capturing the essence of Graceland's distinctive facade. Additionally, scenes depicting the mansion's opulent interiors were filmed on soundstages in Queensland, Australia.

The project reflected the cast and crew's deep respect and admiration for Elvis' legacy. Their unwavering commitment to preserving accuracy extended to the smallest details, ensuring that the film's depiction of Graceland would transport audiences back to the golden era of rock and roll.
