LA Galaxy sign Mexican international Efra Álvarez
Homegrown midfielder joins from LA Galaxy II
The LA Galaxy have announced the signing of Mexican international and Homegrown midfielder Efraín Álvarez. The 19-year-old joins the Galaxy from LA Galaxy II, where he has spent the last three seasons.
Álvarez made his professional debut for LA Galaxy II on October 7, 2019, against Portland Timbers 2. He came on as a 46th-minute substitute for Adrián Vera.
In three seasons with LA Galaxy II, Álvarez made 53 appearances and scored 12 goals. He also helped the team win the USL Championship Western Conference title in 2020.
Álvarez is a member of the Mexican national team and has represented his country at the U-17 and U-20 levels.
