Indonesia Earthquake Kills Dozens
Death Toll Rises as Rescuers Search for Survivors
More than 90 people have been killed and hundreds injured by an earthquake which hit the Indonesian island of Lombok.
The 6.9 magnitude quake struck at 7.46am local time (0.46am BST) on Sunday and was felt on the neighbouring island of Bali.
Houses and buildings have been damaged, and landslides have blocked roads, making it difficult for rescuers to reach affected areas.
The Indonesian Red Cross has said that more than 200,000 people have been displaced from their homes.
The quake is the latest in a series of natural disasters to hit Indonesia in recent years.
In 2018, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake and tsunami killed more than 2,200 people in Sulawesi.
And in 2004, a 9.1 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Sumatra triggered a tsunami that killed more than 230,000 people in 14 countries.
